How OKX trading fees work

Every trade on OKX pays a trading fee when it fills. For regular users under the global fee framework, that's 0.10% of the trade if your order takes liquidity on spot (market orders) or 0.08% if it provides liquidity (resting limit orders) — and 0.05% / 0.02% on futures. Higher tiers, set by your assets or 30-day volume, pay less. The calculator above uses the regular-user rates because they're what a new account pays.

Two costs no referral code reduces: network withdrawal fees (set by the blockchain, not OKX) and funding payments on perpetual futures — periodic transfers between long and short traders. Knowing the difference matters: the 20% rebate works on every fill, not on how long you hold.

How the SAVE20 rebate is applied

You sign up once with code SAVE20 (or through the link, which pre-fills it). From then on, 20% of the trading fees you pay is credited back to your account — a rebate calculated on net fees, per OKX's affiliate program rules. There's no claiming process to chase, and OKX publishes no expiry on it.

Because the rebate is a fixed percentage of the fee, it scales directly with how much you trade. A casual buyer gets a small, pleasant kickback; an active trader moving six or seven figures a month gets a meaningful amount back every year — all from typing one code at sign-up.

Is it worth it?

The code costs nothing and takes seconds to apply — but it can only be applied at sign-up, never after. So the practical answer: if there's any chance you'll trade on OKX, register with the code and keep the option. You receive the full 20% whether or not this site earns a commission, and 20% is the hard ceiling OKX allows — no other code can legitimately offer more.

Frequently asked questions

How much can I save with the OKX referral code?

Code SAVE20 rebates 20% of your trading fees — the maximum OKX's affiliate program allows. On $100,000 of spot taker volume at 0.10%, fees are $100, so the code sends $20 back. On the same futures volume at 0.05%, fees are $50 and the rebate is $10. The more you trade, the more it compounds — and welcome rewards come on top.

Is the rebate a discount at the moment I trade?

No — and this is the honest mechanics most sites gloss over. You pay OKX's normal fee when an order fills; the 20% share is then credited back to you as a rebate calculated on your net fees. Same money saved, different plumbing.

Does the rebate apply to both spot and futures?

The rebate is calculated on your trading fees across OKX's markets (where derivatives are available in your region). Funding payments on perpetuals are a separate mechanism between traders and are not fees, so no code touches them.

Does the rebate expire, and are there exceptions?

OKX publishes no expiry for the invitee rebate. The documented exceptions sit at the very top of the fee ladder: VIP5–6 accounts have rebate caps and VIP7+ accounts generate no rebate — if you're trading at those tiers, your negotiated fees already beat any code.
